SCOOT

Project brief

To design a mobility solution that assists commuters with everyday errands by offering both transportation and storage capabilities.

User

Matt is a young professional living in the city, he goes to the grocery store at lease once a week, and relys on public transportation.

Background

Living in the city comes with it’s challenges, especially when transporting groceries.

Problem

Commuters who take public transit face several challenges during their trips to the grocery store. They must be mindful of other passengers, manage bulky and heavy groceries, and ensure there is enough space for everyone, while keeping their belonging safe.

Painpoints

Crowded
Carrying extra bags of groceries makes it increasingly difficult to navigate crowded areas.
Heavy
Groceries come in varying weights, making them difficult to carry on public transit or while walking home.
Time consuming
Going to the grocery store and taking public transit adds time and hassle, making the trip longer and inconvenient.

How can we design new mobility solutions to make grocery shopping and commuting easier?
